Conductivity process controller WCN600

The Walchem WCN600 offers state-of-the-art technology for automating your water treatment.
In addition to the main parameter, conductivity, the controller supports a multitude of other sensors. Several water circulations can be treated at the same time. Select between mechanical relays or optical-coupler outputs to proportionally control dosing pumps with contact input.

An integrated logging function makes for a complete documentation of the water treatment.

 

The WCN600 features two universal sensor inputs or up to four 4-20 mA inputs for:

  • Conductive conductivity-measuring cells with different cell constants
  • Inductive conductivity electrodes
  • Fluorescence sensors (for PTSA or fluorescein)
  • pH/ORP sensors
  • Free chlorine / bromine
  • Total chlorine
  • Chlorine dioxide
  • Ozone
  • Hydrogen peroxide
  • Peracetic acid
  • Any other sensors with output signals ranging from -2000 to +1500 mV

Six digital inputs can be used for different purposes:

  • Flow switches or other external contacts for disabling the control
  • Water flow meters for dosing chemicals in proportion to quantity

Six relay outputs can be preset to different control modes:

  • On/Off set-point
  • Dosage based on a water flow meter
  • Dosage with switchover between two set-points
  • Timer-based activation
  • Time-proportional control
  • Probe wash
  • In-range or out-of-range activation
  • Common alarm

Via two optional, insulated analog (4-20 mA) outputs, measured values can be transmitted toward a PLC or any other device. Alternatively, the fluid quantities of dosing pumps can be controlled.

 

A USB interface is intended to read out the memory, to import/export configuration files and to update the controller software.

An Ethernet board enables remote access via the Internet or LAN.

The Walchem WCN100W provides an economical entry and a very flexible way to keep your water treatment program under control.

It features a sensor input compatible with several sensors:

  • Conductive conductivity-measuring cells with different cell constants
  • Inductive conductivity electrodes

Two digital inputs can be used for different purposes:

  • Flow switches or other external contacts for disabling the control
  • Water flow meters for dosing chemicals in proportion to quantity

Three relay outputs can be preset to different control modes:

  • On/Off set-point
  • Dosage in proportion to quantity based on a water flow meter
  • Timer-based activation
  • Time-proportional control
  • Probe wash
  • In-range or out-of-range activation
